Proactively Caring For Your Mental Health When You Have IBS


The link isn't fully understood, but mental health issues and IBS have a pretty high comorbidity. aka. they often occur together.

For this reason and the fact it's Mental Health Awareness Week it seems pertinent to talk about ways we can proactively build a healthy mind.

- Developing skills around "Emotional Resilience"

- Taking regular exercise

- Eating well

- Cutting down on alcohol and smoking

- Maintaining a strong support network for friends

-Meditation

These are all proven to keep you feeling better in the long term. They also don't happen by accident, so being mindful and proactive can potentially save you from experiencing problems down the line.
