Starting The Low-FODMAP Diet!


So I started the low-FODMAP diet! This is a perhaps a bit of a rambley video (first attempt, sorry!).

It's a quite daunting because the diet basically flips everything I believed about gut health on it's head. Prebiotics, such as inulin, usually fantastic for your gut microbes, are actually to be avoided. In fact many extremely healthy and nutritious foods are off the table, for a few weeks at least.

Avocados, sauerkraut, rye bread, beans, garlic... it's a long and depressing list!

However, as you'll see when I come back from my first "grocery haul" you still have lots of food available to you.
